This policy explains how whtfut (What Has Trump Fucked Up Today?), an independent commentary and satire project, handles information when you visit this website. You do not need an account or have to provide a name, email address, or payment information to read the site.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site and to improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as pages viewed, referring websites, browser and device details, approximate location, and interactions with the site. Google processes this information to provide analytics reports. Google states that Google Analytics 4 uses IP addresses to derive approximate location and does not log or store those IP addresses. That does not apply to our separate website or hosting logs.

Cookies and technical information
Our website software also sets session and security cookies. These support the operation of the site and help protect requests. Our server and hosting services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details, requested pages, and request times to deliver the site, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse.
Google Analytics user and event data follows the retention settings in our Analytics property; standard aggregated reports are not subject to that same deletion schedule. Session data and technical logs have separate retention settings in our website and hosting services. Deleting cookies from your browser does not delete information already received by a provider.
Other services and external links
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and may load article images directly from publishers or other image providers. Those requests share your IP address and browser request details with the provider. Our hosting and analytics providers process information as part of supplying their services and may process it in countries other than your own.
Headlines link to the original publishers. When you follow an external link, that website’s privacy policy applies. This policy covers whtfut, not those other websites.
Your choices
You can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and limit tracking. Blocking cookies may affect some website features. On supported browsers, you can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. It limits Google Analytics collection, not requests to our hosting service or other providers.
